Glencoe and Glen Etive Couples Session
We will take a little roadtrip through the landscapes of Glencoe and Glen Etive to the best spots for photos which means you will get to do some sightseeing too and go to some spots others can't find! I will have my car and you will follow me in your own transport to the beauty spots for photos. The whole experience will be roughly 3 hours depending on where we go. I will give you some guidance on poses but generally I love to keep it as natural as possible. It's just a small documentary of your trip to the highlands! Included in the price is an online gallery with your edited photos that are downloadable for use and shareable on social media. I will send this via email in roughly 2/3 weeks. Other things to note It's nice to wear something that compliments the environment you are in. Please don't hesitate to dress up if you want, if you need any hints or tips please message me! The weather is very changeable in the mountains but I do go out in all months, seasons and weathers. My top tips are wear sensible shoes, bring layers and in summer something for the midges if you need it.

Whisky and Tales
Let us start by saying the whisky is optional, drink alternatives are available and the cost of the whisky is not included in the £14. We do this to make the event as inclusive as possible for drinker, non drinker, whisky lovers and whisky sceptics alike. The whisky or drink alternatives can be added on on the day. We meet just off the iconic Royal Mile inside a café/bar called Hot Toddy. We have the entire downstairs area reserved for us, ensuring lots of space for the group. During the course of two hours we will sample four outstanding Single Malt Scotch Whiskies from the four major whisky producing regions of Scotland. We will discus some of the history of Scotland and explore the reasons as to why whisky is now so ingrained as a staple of Scottish culture and we have some great tales from Scotland and the world of whisky to share with you. Other things to note This tour departs promptly and we can not wait for guests who are late. Feel free to turn up at Hot Toddy earlier to enjoy some food or drink before the event starts. People under the age of 18 are not permitted on this tour and exceptions can not be made I'm afraid.
Ben Nevis Guided Group Walk
We the start day meeting at the Ben Nevis Inn. Here we will meet and greet, discussing the kit and weather for the day. The journey starts, with a gentle introduction to the Pony Track, built in 1883, with plenty of history about the area along the way. Ascending steadily, we reach half way up approximately 2 hours into the journey, with a good opportunity to feed, and refill water bottles at the Red Burn. Now we start to ascend the famous Zig Zags, gaining height rapidly, along with the extending views across Ardnamurchan to the Great Glen. The plateau will be reached, followed by a steady walk to the summit, arriving in about 4 hours from the start. There is plenty to see on the summit whilst we eat (Weather allowing). The ruins of the Weather Observatory (1883-1904), The old "Hotel", and the iron frame that held Clement Wragge's observation instruments which pre dates the Observatory. If the weather allows, we can see the rest of Scotland...Mountains in every direction. We will descend the same path back to The Ben Nevis Inn, returning at approximately 5pm. During the dark Winter Months (November to March) we do expect snow and ice on atleast the summit plateau, and quite possibly down to the 650m contour. Message for more information as there isn't enough room here...

West Coast Canoe Foraging

I am a trained ecologist (studied otters for my PhD) and Chief Survival Instructor for Wildwood Bushcraft. During our experience you will explore the sheltered sea loch by canoe. We can use the canoe to access places that are hard to reach from the land - e.g. beautiful silver sand beaches, small wooded islands, and a wild rocky pensinsula. You will be able learn about this unique environment, collect shellfish and cook on a fire. You should leave with a better understanding of this beautiful landscape, its fascinating history, how to survive there in harmony, while making minimal impact. You will have been deeply involved in nature and leave with some fantastic memories, new skills and a great bonding experience!

Troubles Tour - With a Local
At Belfast City Hall you will be provided with an audio headset and receiver so you don’t miss a word. You’ll visit the City Hall before walking to the Peace Walls, approximately 40 minutes. You’ll receive a full, detailed and objective commentary to provide you with the historical and political background to ‘the Troubles’. Please note that a good to fluent command of English is required. Stopping at the International Wall, you’ll get a chance to view the political murals before you visit the Walls. There is ample time for photographs. You’ll return to Belfast City Centre, where you visit the Cathedral Quarter. You’ll meander in and out of historic entries, see the sights and see what’s hidden in plain sight. You’ll learn about our radical history, and the culture and art that makes Belfast such a vibrant and exciting city. You'll take in the City Centre & Albert Clock before the tour finishes in a historic church. You walk inside, you walk back to the late 1700s to a time of revolution and radicalism. Belfast is a city of contrasts, and the tour is designed to reflect that. Expect to be entertained, engaged and informed. The pace of this tour is moderate. You will walk approximately 3.5 miles in 2.5 to 3 hours. We sometimes have 4 seasons in one day, so dress appropriately.
Snuggle Special-Needs Sanctuary dogs
You will be welcomed at the Sanctuary by a myriad of barking, happy , tail-wagging special needs dogs. Having gone into the "airlock" [a double safety gate to prevent escapees] before climbing up to the office, the dogs will surround you with wags, wiggles and woofs Once the excitement has settled down a bit you will be able to sit at the picnic tables on the covered decking and have adorable Chihuahuas clambering on your knee, Labradors vying for attention and Gandalf our large Golden Doodledor [ mongrel ] watching the activities from his vantage point on another picnic table. The dogs love all the attention and whilst you are giving them hugs and cuddles I will tell all their stories of how they came to be at the Sanctuary and their special needs and treatments if any. If wanted a short tour of the other animals at the Sanctuary can be included or you can stay on the decking with the dogs and give them a brush or just snuggle with a Chihuahua in your jumper and a Rottie round your neck . Other things to note Warm, waterproof clothing and footwear; if doing more than the Dog Cuddle Experience suggest wellies as the fields may be muddy. Please don't have goodies for the animals as you WILL be mugged for them. They can be left at reception for later treats thanks
Learn to spin wool in the Highlands
I am offering you a hands on, fun, taster session on how to spin wool on an old fashioned wheel, using locally sourced fleece. If the weather is good we can sit outside in my croft house garden surrounded by stunning scenery, just off the North Coast 500 route. When you arrive I will invite you to come and meet my small flock of friendly sheep where we can start the journey from sheep to jumper. There will be Tea, coffee and cake and an introductory chat with examples and questions answered. We will set up wheels and talk through how all the equipment works. Wool preparation is important and I will show you how to skirt a fleece and which parts of the fleece are the best for spinning. Spinning is a craft that takes time to learn but in my taster wool workshops we can delve into the basics of setting up a wheel, learning to card wool in preparationn and experience the first steps in producing yarn using a "lazy kate", or a "noddy noddy". Support and guidance will be on hand at all times, if needed. All abilities are welcome. I can teach up to 2 guests at a time. Other things to note This experience will be held in my home and I have 3 collies, sheep and hens. Please let me know if you intend to bring a dog. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
