Amazing Punjabi food in Whitechapel. Go here over tourist traps on Brick Lane. Its BYO so if you fancy a drink with the meal remember to buy some to take with you

lamb chops 🤩 just a great place for curry with locals, take your own wine / beer A quick ride on the overground from Brockley to Whitechapel. Fit this in with a walk up Brick Lane, or a trip to The Whitechapel Gallery

The Brick lane curry houses are only a ten-minute walk away – we prefer curry at Tayyabs in Whitechapel which is in our opinion the best in East London!

This ever-popular Indian restaurant is a London institution. Spread across three levels (actually there might even be more, can't be sure) it's always busy - so book a table online if you are in a group. If it's just the two of you it should be fine to just rock up without a booking. The Indian food here is better and cheaper than anything you'll find on Brick Lane. You can also bring your own alcohol which makes it among the best value sit-down restaurants in town.
