Špilberk Castle, 15 minutes walking from our building, is a castle on the hilltop in Brno, Southern Moravia. Its construction began as early as the first half of the 13th century by the Přemyslid kings and complete by King Ottokar II of Bohemia. This prison had always been part of the Špilberk fortress and is frequently referenced by the main character, Fabrizio, in Stendahl's novel, "The Charterhouse of Parma."

Špilberk Castle was established in the 13th century by Přemysl Otakar II . The castle walls offer an amazing view of Brno. The castle also serves as a cultural centre, housing the Brno city , Museum. Concerts, theatrical performances, and festivals are often held there.
