Tethera Nook - a beautifully crafted retreat

Tethera Nook is the South East wing of Hylands with wonderful views. Set over three floors, surrounded by beautiful gardens, it has been renovated with great care, to the highest standard of design, using quality materials and finishes. It is a place to rest and unwind, to wander and sit in a garden full of wildlife, to gaze at the ever-changing views. It is 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Rifleman's Arms.

Crag View cottage is located in the popular village of Ambleside with stunning views across to the Langdale valley. It is on a very quiet road only a few moments walk to the main street of the where you will find restaurants, pubs, cinemas, outdoor equipment shops and supermarkets. It is cosy and comfortable, fully equipped with everything you will need for the prefect stay. It is ideally situated to explore the Lake District .There are great walks from the cottage without even moving your car

Dog friendly, 2 bedroom, garden flat. Wood stove.

This quiet, dog friendly, ground floor flat, is near to Ambleside centre, but tucked away in a private garden. The flat is an ideal base exclusively for walkers & dog owners. The comfortable flat has two bedrooms, a self-catering kitchen, slate tiled bathroom, and a cosy living room with a traditional fireplace and wood burning stove. It's a great base to explore the fells, enjoy the delights of Ambleside (less than 5 min walk to the high street), & then to hide away in front of a wood fire.

Lake View Lodge

Stay at the Lake View Lodge and wake up to fantastic views of Lake Windermere and its mountain backdrop every morning. The Lake View Lodge is a self-contained, wooden lodge with access to three acres of grounds and wild meadows attracting a wonderful array of wildlife including owls, red kites, deer, foxes and woodpeckers. Enjoy a large 45 square meter space with king sized bed, double sofa bed, shower room and kitchenette. Ideally suited for up to two adults and two children or three adults.

Set in the heart of one of Cumbria's most iconic Lakeland villages. Comfortable, newly furnished and decorated studio apartment only 2-3 minutes walk from all local amenities. The studio is self-contained in the basement of a traditional Lakeland slate house. Superb views of the surrounding fells from the shared patio. Modern kitchen with all facilities, welcome pack included and use of sauna for a small additional fee. One parking permit supplied. The apartment is dog-friendly .

La’al Owse - cosy and quirky home

Situated in the heart of the Lake District this la’al (small) house is one of a kind. It’s quirky and small interior and ladder stairs make it a perfect little base in a quiet area of lovely Ambleside. Ideal for a couple or a 1 person stay. Private parking space. Minimum 3 night stay. Shorter stays will be considered but are down to our discretion if it backs on or before another booking to fill the space. (No Saturday departures) No Fri-Sat bookings so far into the future.

We are perfectly positioned for exploring the stunning lakes and fells both by car or using public transport. Special offers are not valid during school holidays.

The Wash House is an historic cottage on one floor hidden 100m above the centre of Ambleside. Once a wash house, then a sculptor's studio, the Wash House has now been cleverly converted to provide everything needed for a perfect holiday in quite a small space! There is a private sunny terrace garden covered in clematis and wisteria with views of the fells and the rooftops. Restaurants, pubs, shops and walks are on your doorstep. No need for a car!
