Cosy country cottage in the Brecon Beacons

Welcome to our 145 year old cosy cottage in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We are located in a perfect location in the countryside in the quaint village of Defynnog on the A4067, 8 miles from the base of Pen y Fan. Our cottage can comfortably accommodate 4 adults, plus there is a sofa bed which could accommodate an additional 2 adults if required. Your own bOur aim is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible whilst here, and we will be at the end of the phone should you need us

Cosy self-catering annexe

Tan y Dderwen is nestled in the tranquil village of Cilycwm in the beautiful Towy Valley. This modern, self-sufficient annexe manages to be simultaneously cosy, light and spacious; stunning views across the hills lend it a quiet majesty. Located between the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains, you will be within touching distance of some of Wales’s most iconic landscapes, including the Celtic rainforest at RSPB Dinas. It is perfectly located for walkers, cyclists, naturalists and stargazers!

An historic fully refurbished character barn attached to our traditional Welsh Long House home. Having a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed accessing it via a beautiful spiral staircase. Downstairs is an open plan lounge kitchen dinner with a wood burning stove and a beautiful chandelier. The kitchen is well appointed including electric oven/hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and a wine cooler. Large windows are at the front and back of the property with the most stunning views.

Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites. The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food. Just 10 miles from the market town of Brecon, nestled in the Brecon Beacons; South Wales' highest peak Penyfan, is only a short drive away, making it an attractive tourist location.

Aberdar is perfect for getting away from it all and provides a great base for walking, bird watching or exploring the picturesque counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

A lovely cottage, set in beautiful countryside within the Brecon Beacons National Park with exposed stonework, oak beams, flag stone floor, under-floor heating and log burner. The living area is spacious, yet cosy, with a well equipped kitchen and dining area. Large bedroom with a king size bed and a stylish bathroom with shower. Guests have sole use of a sunny south-west facing terrace enjoying grand views across the Sawdde Valley.
