Cwt Glo eco cottage Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)/ Zip World

Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Due to our spectacular location we are perfectly suited to those seeking adventure. A cosy, self contained apartment, just 20 minutes from the foot of Snowdon. A mere 5 minutes from Europe’s longest and fastest zip line at Zip-World and 30 minutes from the beautiful island of Anglesey. The property sleeps 4; Consisting of a double bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. It has a fully functional kitchenette with small dining area. We are dog friendly and welcome house trained dogs.

Close to the border of Snowdonia National park, the cottage is a 10 min walk to local amenities in the village of Bethesda. Hafan is a short walk from Zip World and is well located to explore all that the beautiful surrounding area has to offer.

The cottage has been completely renovated and also features a beautiful sunny garden and patio with plenty of space to sit and relax outside. Bethesda village centre is within walking distance and has a Tesco supermarket (open 7 days a week until late), pubs and a good choice of takeaways.

The cottage has lovely original features, such as the charming staircase, exposed stone inglenook fireplace with log burning stove (logs not provided) & wooden floorboards. Quality cooker, fridge and kitchen items. Sleeping 2 in a super king Feather & Black bed with Emma mattress, a z-bed is available if requested for a young child.

You’ll love my place because its a traditional grade 2 listed welsh cottage fully refurbished and set in a small hamlet within the countryside. My place is good for couples, walkers, solo adventurers, business travellers and small families. PLEASE NOTE: This is a small village located a couple of miles from the main A55 road there are no shops in the village itself. Tesco is a 5 min drive away
