Cathkin Estate has a multitude of bird and animal life, and there are numerous walks and cycle paths , to explore. Within a short drive, of the Estate, there are restaurants, golf courses, spa , monks cowl nature reserve, Falcon Ridge- Bird of Prey Centre, laundromat, shopping centre.
