This bright and cozy house with a semi-open kitchen and a sunrise terrace offers a beautiful panorama view over rice fields. Although in the countryside, it´s located only 15 min away from Jogja´s city center. We are a German-Indonesian family living nearby who has been in love with this area for years. The chill wind in the fields – the “Sawah Breeze” – and the soothing sounds of nature invite you to unwind and forget about everyday life. A healthy, homemade breakfast is included.

Welcome to Joglo Gumuk, our small retreat space in the village Gendeng, surrounded by tropical gardens and overlooking the rice fields, just 8 km south of Yogyakarta. Niwa House is a 3-bedrooms (all with air-conditioner) tranquil house at a cool northern countryside of Yogyakarta (at 277 meters above sea level). Around 20 minutes drive to Jogja city center. Rent is for the entire house. It's a good settling point whether you just seek to relax and breathe fresh air of the countryside/ enjoy the paddyfield scenery, or if you plan to explore the new & hip northern side of Jogja, or if you plan to head out to Borobudur.

Limasan Candi Gebang is an at least 100-year old traditional Javanese wooden house which has been reconstructed in a rapidly developing village / residential area just north of Yogyakarta city, the epicentre of Javanese culture. This old house functions as a family homebase in Yogya and offers an authentic experience of living in a traditional Javanese/Indonesian home in a local village.
