The Acorn Guest House

The Acorn Guest House is a two-level, self-contained accommodation located 2 minutes from the ferry landing in Balfour, BC and only 30 minutes from Nelson. Features include a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, 1 ½ baths, a washer and dryer, patio and balcony, fire pit, and plenty of free parking with room for RV's or Trailers. Moosu Guest House is a railroad style cabin designed for two people with 12 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom for a superb stargazing experience. I have endeavored to create a comfortable space that provides a wonderful base for adventuring. The walls are covered in local art, I love showcasing local artisans. Paintings are reminiscent of Nelson and are for sale. The beautiful king sized bed and live edge wood counters are taken from sustainably harvested trees and created by a local craftsman. The upstairs is spacious and features a wood burning stove. The downstairs is a beautiful grotto bathroom with a sunken tub big enough for two.

By the Lake

By the Lake is a welcoming, private suite situated in a beautiful, modern waterfront home with a stunning view over the lake and a lovely garden with a hot tub. Five minutes drive from downtown and 15 minutes from Whitewater ski area, provides refreshing hikes and skiing opportunities close by. Close access to shopping and restaurants. John's Walk lakeside path passes right by the house, leading you to attractive Lakeside Park. Our beach provides a peaceful spot to relax on the lake shore.

A Peaceful and Private Studio Suite

A beautiful suite nestled in nature. It is located just outside of Balfour with access to the ferry landing, balfour store, a gas station and bakery. Ainsworth Hotsprings is a short 15 min drive, Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is 10 minutes away and Balfour Golf Course is even closer! Nelson and all its amenities is about a 25 minute jaunt. 4 wheel drive is recommended during winter weather as the last little stretch is a little steeper. Winter weather can be unpredictable.

The Studio is a few blocks from Oso Negro Coffee Shop, Nelson Brewing Company & taproom, historic Baker Street and a Whitewater Ski Area shuttle stop. There is a convenient off street parking space right next to the accommodation. Coffee and tea are provided for your enjoyment.
