Relax in front of the warm wood burning fireplace, enjoy the abundant bird life from your private deck, soak in the antique clawfoot bath, and lose yourself in the celestial clerestory views. Our 2 bedroom cottage is set on our 200 hectare stud cattle property. Our home is 50m away. The cottage is low set and has soul soothing mountain views of the Brisbane Valley. Situated 3 km from Toogoolawah and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. A peaceful setting to enjoy a country break. Enjoy stunning sunsets & sunrises from our viewing area. Cattle & horses graze peacefully nearby. We are close to the Ramblers Skydiving Centre, Watts Bridge Airfield and a short drive to the Somerset Dam.

Cabin with Stunning Valley Views

Situated on a 40 acre property nestled at the base of a hill, the cabin delivers stunning views looking over the Lockyer Valley and onto the hills of Lockyer National Park. The cabin is set 100 metres away from the main house providing privacy plus easy road access & convenient parking right at the door. The side by side cabin is joined by a deck where you can enjoy the view and the incredible sunrises/sunsets whilst watching the wallabies graze. On the property is a horse and cattle.

Relax at this tranquil air conditioned-getaway. Enjoy the country town atmosphere 1 hour 20 minute from Brisbane city centre and the famous Brisbane Valley Rail bike trail. An architectural and garden paradise, 3 minutes drive to Esk town and the biking rail trail, race course, golf club and civic centre. Enjoy the modern just built facilities, the endless bird-songs the occasional wallaby and the hosts hospitality. Murphy bed interchangeable can be one king size bed or two singles.

Gumnut Cottage

Only 10 minutes from Toowoomba, this off-grid studio cottage gives you an escape in the Australian bush with all the comforts of home. We are located across a tiny creek, up a 1km winding, gravel driveway where the cottage is semi-privately set into the bush. At night, you might see the wallabies munch and bandicoots dig, and if lucky, the possums may come down from the trees for a treat. During the day you may catch sight of a lace-monitor lizard which may come running for a treat.

Even though Wah Cottage is neatly 100 years old, it has been fully renovated so that it retains its country charm while still delivering creature comforts. Decorated with a nod to the french farmhouse aesthetic, the light filled rooms feature french cream walls and plantation shutters and farmhouse kitchen. The place is filled with original artworks, found objects and loved pieces. We love to stay at this cottage between our travels - so welcome to our home away from home.

Our cabin is nicely positioned to allow access to many scenic day trips taking in places such as Maleny, Montville, several National Parks & The Glasshouse Mountains. We have put together some suggested itineraries to help you make the most of your time with us and includes trips to waterfalls, short and long bush walks and restaurants. Or of course you are welcome to cook your own pizzas in our pizza oven under the stars or light a campfire.
