The Studio in the Sky

From artist studio to guest house, this little building is an ongoing project, with so much to offer. Sitting on higher grounds just behind the main house, it has its own garden with a view to take your breath away. It’s a bit of a rise to get there but totally worth it. If you keep climbing across small fields and a strip of forest, you’ll find yourself on Slievenamon’s mountain trails. Downhill from here lies Kilcash village, pub, church, more forestry and the ruins of an old castle

We are located just a one-minute walk from the sea and 1.5km from Tully Cross which has pubs, a shop and a church. Goirtín na gCloch is ideally situated for holiday makers looking to explore Connemara or visit the beach. Relax at this quiet escape in the Irish countryside, staying a cozy apartment in our recently renovated schoolhouse, dating from 1939. Connected to our house yet entirely private, it has its own entrance, driveway parking, a double bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, though no separate living room. Perfectly situated for exploring local attractions, and just 20 minutes from Dublin Airport. We recommend a car as public transportation is limited & slow, and taxis can be costly.

Food is supplied for a light continental style breakfast.
