Welcome to our private rainforest guesthouse. Nestled atop a hill in the rainforest. Wildlife surrounds with peacocks, bush turkeys, scrub fowl, eagles and other native animals. The totally private guesthouse is near new and part of our National Award Winning Sustainable property, designed by the host. Please note: Not suitable for 4 adults. Walking distance to local shops and beach, moments away from popular tourist areas in Cairns and a short drive to the beautiful Port Douglas.

Our serene abode is a 5 min drive or a pleasant 30-40 min stroll to the picturesque village of Kuranda and the mighty Barron Falls. Your private quarters contain a kitchenette, bathroom and sizeable comfortable bedroom. On the deck you can sit peacefully, relax and observe the native wildlife; red-legged pademelons, brush turkeys and small reptiles. You will be delighted with the chorus of bird song and take great pleasure in sighting vibrantly colourful tropical birdlife and butterflies.

New self contained private unit with amazing view

A private and self contained guest unit, detached from to the main house with It’s own private entrance. It also has a private undercover area directly under the guest unit. Quite secluded location with elevated 180 degree views. Caravonica is a central location to a number of attractions around the Cairns area. You can walk to Lake Placid or Skyrail and only a short drive to Kuranda Rail at Freshwater. You can drive to Kuranda or Cairns City in twenty minutes.
