The Pod on the Hill

Situated approx.2.5 miles outside the village of Port Ellen, the POD offers peace, quiet and relaxation after exploring the distilleries and the joys of the Island. Port Ellen and Laphroaig can be seen from the POD which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay. The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. Come, find out for yourselves, a very warm welcome awaits you.

Wake up in total tranquility with beautiful views of Northern Ireland from our luxury private log cabin. The cabin has your very own hot tub to relax in! And spectacular views over the sea. Feel like you’re ‘escaping from it all’ while still being within striking distance of neighbouring towns. The area is also popular with Game of Thrones fans, and we are in a prime location to visit all the hot spots like “The Dark Hedges” Kings Road, Cushendun Caves, Murlough Bay, and Ballintoy Harbour.

The Surf Shack, Causeway Coast, Ballycastle.

The Surfer’s Shack is a unique tiny space created from an upcycled shipping container. The decor is inspired by the local Causeway coastline. If you’re looking for a quiet secluded getaway, this is the place for you, as the shack is surrounded by rolling county Antrim farmlands, all the while being within minutes of the top spots such as the giants causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, the dark hedges and the Bushmills distillery. A little further (15 minutes drive) will take you to Portrush.

Stylish island hideaway overlooking the sea

Our stylish island hideaway is located on the shores of Davaar Island… a beautiful wooden cabin ideal for those wanting to experience a sense of solitude, be close to nature and enjoy total privacy… whilst still enjoying some luxurious touches and comfort. The Bothy has been hand built, with sheep wool insulation and oak framed double glazed windows and doors. Barnacle overlooks the sea and is thoughtfully designed to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible whatever the weather!

Entire Flat- Closest to the Three Distillery Path

Bright, Airy and Cosy for a relaxing stay. Tarsgeir is an UPPER FLAT in a block of 4 ( 2 up - 2 down). Being located in Port Ellen gives you a fantastic starting point for most sightseeing to be done on Islay, whether by car, foot, bus or bike there is plenty to do and see. Just minutes to Ferry terminal, shops, restaurants, pubs and bus stops. The 'three distillery path' starts opposite 20 mtrs away, a nice walk not just for distilleries, also for wildlife, views and the Islay fresh air.

Tangy Lodge is located right by the coast, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind for the whole family. Just a 10 minute drive from Campbeltown and 1 mile away from Westport beach (famous for its fantastic surfing), the area is known for its traditional whisky distilleries, outstanding scenery and the classic song "Mull of Kintyre". The lodge is also ideal for a golfing getaway, with 5 courses nearby and Machrihanish being known for having the best opening hole in the world.

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Dunseverick Harbour Cottage (Adult only)

Dunseverick Harbour Cottage is set in a stunning location overlooking the harbour.The cottage is a warm cosy home with breath taking sea views from every window overlooking the Causeway Coast and Rathlin Island.The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay on the stunning north coast.The causeway coast path passes the front gate with beautiful walks in every direction to Whitepark Bay, Ballintoy, Carrickarede rope bridge and the Ulster Way to the Giants Causeway.

Sitting high above the bay below, Broad Skies boasts beautiful sea views over Portballintrae and the Causeway coast. It's the perfect spot to relax, set in a large private garden with private parking. The garden is fenced in and gated and there is an indoor wood burning stove as well as an outdoor fire pit and wood fired hot tub with sea views to enjoy. It's a perfect base for exploring the North Coast, central to the main attractions and just 2 miles from the Causeway.

Whiterocks Villa

Beautiful property inside and out with the most stunning views of Royal Portrush Golf Course and only a stones through away from whiterocks beach. This home really need to be seen to be appreciated in its full entirety. Enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and watch the sun set over the Whiterocks, take romantic walks along the beach or head into Portrush (1 mile away) for a night to remember. Once you stay one or two nights you will want to come back again.

Port Ellen Pod, Isle of Islay, UK

Port Ellen Pod is a modern, well equipped, two bedroomed self catering cabin situated next to our home Swallows Roost.We are located approximately 3 miles from the village of Port Ellen on a quiet hillside with panoramic views overlooking Kilnaughton Bay, Port Ellen and Carraig Fhada Lighthouse. PLEASE NOTE: As we are located 3 miles from Port Ellen a car or some form of transport is recommended. Please ensure you book your car on the ferry in advance.

Snowdrop cabin is set in a spruce plantation which is a 25min walk to Port Ellen. Snowdrop cabins interior is modern yet comfortable, whilst nestling into its calm and tranquil surroundings. Snowdrop is made up of a sleeping Mezzanine, kitchen area, an everhot stove/oven ,and a modern bathroom. moving outdoors there is a gas BBQ, a wood fired hot tub and an outdoor decked area perfect for enjoying the view with a dram, Slainte.
