Be it relaxing or entertaining, Mimi's Place offers you the best of both worlds...a peaceful getaway in one of the East Bay's favorite neighborhoods within walking distance to urban conveniences. Please note: the unit is a private guesthouse accessed up one flight of stairs. A mobile laundry service is available, but the unit does not have a washer/dryer. The space is open yet cosy and the windows look out to trees and hills in the neighborhood. It feels far removed from the city yet you are walking distance from the adorable Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. We have a full kitchen with new appliances, wi-fi, a smart TV, and plenty of built-in storage for your belongings if you are staying for a longer visit. You have access to the entire unit as it is separate from our house and located in the front of the property. I love to meet our guests, but generally we are running different directions so only see each other upon arrival and in passing. I am always available by phone though! This one of the oldest neighborhoods in Berkeley, with established trees and gorgeous walks in the nearby hills and easy access to nearby Elmwood stores. It feels far removed from city life, but Berkeley and Oakland are still within easy reach. You probably want a car (parking is very easy in our neighborhood which is not the norm in Berkeley) or plan to take Lyft. Bart is a 15 minute walk from our house, and there is a bus route that picks up at the bottom of our street. If you are visiting Cal, the bus takes you there easily.

The Rockridge Cottage

The Rockridge Cottage is a lovely stand alone backhouse in the most central location in the East Bay. Enjoy the peaceful backyard and privacy of your own home and be steps away from the world class restaurants and cafes of College Avenue. Located just three blocks away from the Rockridge BART Station, the Rockridge Cottage is only 25 minutes from Downtown San Francisco and just down the road from the UC Berkeley campus. Walk Score of 92. There is no need to have a car in this neighborhood.

Redwood Sanctuary Oakland Hills

Redwood Sanctuary is located in the idyllic Oakland Hills with beautiful vistas, hikes, and parks within a short drive. The home is situated on half an acre of land in the middle of redwood, eucalyptus, and oak trees secluded away from other homes. Montclair village is an 8 minute drive, providing lots of great food and shops. Minutes from Highway 13 and 580. It is a 1 bedroom studio with a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed. It can comfortably accommodate up to 3. We'd love to host your stay!

Located in a quiet, safe neighborhood near Grand Lake Theater, Lake Merritt, Morcom Rose Garden, restaurants, and shopping. Minutes to Berkeley, Piedmont, downtown Oakland, and public transport to SF. Dedicated entrance to room. No kitchen - mini fridge, coffee pot, kettle included for your convenience.

Rockridge Garden Cottage

The cottage is newly remodeled as of March 2022 and now has its own kitchen and bathroom. It is a separate unit in my backyard with vaulted ceilings which gives a spacious feel and french doors that open onto the lush garden. Queen size high end natural organic fiber bed (Earthsake.com), with down comforter + 4 pillows. Dining table and stools. LCD TV, clothes valet, work desk and great internet. Its very quiet and my guests seem to love having a private retreat type space to themselves.

The Redwood Retreat

Near Lake Temescal, Redwd Regional Prk, Bart, Hwy 13, Rockridge,Montclair, Dwntwn. We completely remodeled our guest house with a focus on short term tenants. Lots of storage within one of the most quite settings you will find. We made a thoughtful attempt to load the unit with everything u might need while away. The kitchen is functional to the point that you could actually cook a Thanksgiving dinner, multiple frying pans to crock pots a blender or chefs knives. Bathroom sundries abound!

The Purple Door, Private Sanctuary, Epic View

Private guesthouse located in the Oakland Hills with stunning views of the bay. We recognize the importance of privacy, this guesthouse will allow you to have everything you need all while never having to be bothered. The sunset views can be taken in from your bed or the deck. There is a bus stop about 150 yards away if you need, the airport is about a 7 minute ride away, rail (BART) is about 5 minutes and the house is near a freeway for quick access to everywhere in the Bay Area.
