Walk to the observation bench at the top of the biggest 50 ft waterfall. Follow the trail behind the falls. Sunflower shores is a true log cabin, in a small neighborhood built on the shores of a clean quiet lake in Middle Tennessee. Relax, unwind, have coffee or cocktails on the deck. Swim, fish, take out the canoe or kayak, birdwatch, hike in nearby Savage Gulf or Fall Creek Falls. The view from this cabin is beautiful! Either sit on the living room couch or on the deck and enjoy the lovely view of the lake. It is situated on a level, wooded lot that is a great getaway. Perfect for paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. We have a paddle boat and a flat bottom boat with a trolling motor for guests to use. In close vicinity to hiking, off-roading, paragliding, rock climbing and many other activities. Deerhead Lake in Dunlap is 55 mins from Chattanooga, TN.

Room for trailer parking! Tranquility is defined...at The Cabins at Ranger Creek! The cabins are designed to be a cozy and comfortable retreat from the hustle of everyday life. Queen loft bedroom, modern bath, outfitted kitchen, and all you need to feel right at home. **There is a couch in the living room that can pull out, however we do not advise this as a sleeping arrangement for adults, as it is not the most comfortable option. (Just fine for the kids tho!)

12/10/25 I’m in the process of doing exterior siding on abnb and my house. There will be a bit of noise during daylight hours. This has now become an active family farm that requires land and livestock maintenance on a daily, you may hear a bit of noise during daylight hours, unless it’s a holiday weekend when my kids visit, those weekends can get a lot louder. I have been trying to keep my kids quiet for nearly 38 years…..if you’re a parent, you understand.

This is a 1080 sq ft, 2 bedroom / 2 bath pet friendly (see details below for pets) house with a gas grill, fully equipped kitchen, fully stocked beverage station that host a coffee pot and Keurig, snacks, laundry with detergent, and a fire pit. Smart TV, WiFi, books, and board games. Fur babies are welcome, though please read through all the rules regarding pets. Please note there is a pet fee. Special note: the house will be decorated for the holiday season!
