The Acadia NP Visitor Center, the start of the Park Loop Rd & our downtown village are within 2 to 5 miles. Drive into Acadia or to the village for more dining, shopping, and excursions. From late June to mid Oct, the free Island Explorer shuttle is an easy option.

Red Oak is nestled at the top of our Bar Harbor bed and breakfast, and features its own private “tree house” deck. From here, you can sit among the maple treetops and enjoy your coffee or a cold drink, reflect upon your day, and gaze across the neighborhood to the bell tower of St. Saviour on Mount Desert Street. Freedom House Second Floor 3 Bedroom Apartment

This 3 bedroom apartment occupies the second floor of the Freedom House Bed & Breakfast main house. Two of the bedrooms have a queen size bed, and one has a king size bed. The apartment has a comfortable living room with cable tv, and a fully equipped eat in kitchen. The bathroom has a claw foot tub/shower combination (and obviously a sink and toilet, lol!) *PLEASE BE AWARE THE STAIR CASE IS STEEP BY TODAYS STANDARDS AS THE HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1888.
