Being in the Nature Reserve, we cannot accept dogs or pets of any kind; sorry. We do not let to groups; we only let to families or two couples maximum. Absolutely no groups of more than four guests or parties of any kind. High tide sometimes cuts off the house so please be aware of this.

Wayside cottage is an end of terrace property which is 150 years old, located in the historic village of St Osyth. It is situated in between the village centre, where you will find all the necessary amenities, and Mill Dam Lake, where you will find water sport activities, scenic walks and bike rides. The cottage has been completely renovated to retain all the original quirky features of wonky ceilings, old exposed beams and original gate doors. The rooms are cosy and inviting.

Edme is an authentic wooden Thames Sailing Barge, 80ft long with a great social space above and below decks, numerous comfy settees and an awesome table that seats 16. She's a great space for family groups to relax and enjoy. Children and dogs welcome! If you'd like to experience a unique and genuinely eccentric space that is rich with history and character then you will find great pleasure staying with us by the creek.

My place is close to Colne Point Nature reserve one mile walk with lots of bird life, great views over the river Colne and Blackwater the best sunsets, You’ll love my place because of the outdoor space, walks wild life wide open country side marshes seascapes ideal for bird watching.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers & very cosy.
