Our cabin was originally a grainery. We moved it to sit on a wooded knoll on our working sheep farm. Mornings can be spent relaxing on our front porch while watching lambs play. We offer a firepit and outdoor furniture to better enjoy the peaceful seclusion of our slice of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Guests are just 10 minutes to downtown Lexington, Virginia Military Institute, Washington & Lee University, Southern Virginia University & the Virginia Horse Center. The owner is a VMI alumnus.

Lost River Bunkhouse Barn, dog-friendly + hot tub

Relaxing getaway in Lost River, WV. Originally a barn, the BunkHouse Barn was redesigned into a rustic modern retreat with custom finishes on 5 acres in the mountains. Featuring 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, huge deck with hot tub & gas grill, fully equipped kitchen and fireplace. Outdoor fire pit perfect for star gazing and s'mores. The Tobacco Barn

A high-peaked ceiling and exposed-log crossbeams reveal the Tobacco Barn’s past life as a place for hanging tobacco leaves to dry. Now converted to a one-room guest house, it features a front porch swing, cozy fireplace, soapstone floors, a homey sitting area, and a tall, high-post bed. The pressed-tin ceiling and whiskey-barrel sink in the bathroom add to its charm. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night). Maximum two-person occupancy.

HB 2 at Spring Haven Farm

Don’t stay cooped up in a hotel or private room. Get your nature fix staying here at Spring Haven Farm. Enjoy a great view of the pond in all its wonder and night sounds. Above will be the beautiful night sky - with no street lights. Fully-equipped kitchen, or cook outdoors on the provided charcoal grill. Queen bed in bedroom, 2 futons in LR opens to sleep four and a queen air mattress can be called upon to sleep two more. Children under 12 years of age stay free.

Virginia's Triple Crown Lodge (Shuttle)

This recently renovated barn loft is located a 0.3 mile walk from the AT and just off the Transamerica Trail (cycling). This secluded retreat is located within 20 miles of Blacksburg, Fincastle, Daleville, Salem, and Roanoke. The host is an experienced AT hiker and offers shuttle service to local trailheads, grocery stores, laundromats, etc. The first 20 miles are complimentary, with a $0.70 fee per additional mile. A unique and private mountain top colonial era spring house, with two springs flowing thru the basement. Originally the site of a tannery in the 1700s. Here you can relax, recharge, and rejuvenate. We celebrate all four seasons where you can enjoy Mother Nature's ever changing scenery at 1300' above sea level with fresh mountain air. Our area offers many things to do, or you may choose to stay in and do nothing at all.
