A stunning 200 year-old cottage located in the charming small village of Bouth in the Lake District, now a UNESCO world heritage region. Situated on a quiet country road and bounded on two sides by open fields, with grazing shire horses and Jersey cows, this is the idyllic country retreat. The cottage has been renovated to the highest standard whilst retaining all the charm of its period. The traditional village pub is a few metres away. Breathtaking natural scenery awaits you from the doorway.

Located just off the main street of Haverigg its the perfect location to explore the beach just around the corner (2min walk) Shop, Chippy and Pub 1 minute walk away. Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Located in Swarthmoor, on the outskirts of the beautiful market town of Ulverston, this well equipped cottage is a mile outside the town centre (20 min walk or 5 minute bus ride from the end of the street). It balances the convenience of accessing the town centre but gives a more rural feeling overlooking fields to the front and having the benefit of free on street parking. It is an ideal location for walking & exploring the Lake District & also for those who enjoy a good night out.

Kirk Fell, Great Gable, Lingmell, Harter Fell are just some of the local Western Fells. Muncaster Castle, The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway and sandy beaches are all nearby.

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

In addition the attractions of Kirkby Lonsdale, the historical city of Lancaster and RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss are only 15-20 minutes away. Gressingham is a small, picturesque village and makes the perfect location for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a country break.
