Welcome to The Cottages at Porter Hill, nestled in the heart of Umpqua Valley Wine Country. A perfect retreat for two! This cozy 1 bedroom cottage is inspired by the green fields of central Italy & simple country living. We invite you to slow down, relax and experience our little slice of heaven! Conveniently located on Highway 42 with easy access to Winston, the Wildlife Safari and Roseburg (10 - 15 minutes) to the east and the Oregon coast-Coos Bay and Bandon (just 1.5 hours) to the west.

Tree Top Studio

Find your Peace in this cozy light filled studio in the treetops of the Siskiyou mountains. The studio is very private with views in every direction of trees, earth and sky (no other buildings in sight). You have direct access to trails leading to old growth forest and a refreshing year long creek. The studio space is an inspiration for artists and lovers of fine details. The kitchen meets all your basic culinary needs. Living room has cozy nooks. Bedroom upstairs has a comfy queen size bed.

Yurt on the Applegate

Relax along the banks of the Applegate River. Enjoy a soak in the outdoor wooden hot tub or a swim in the river. Fall asleep in the comfy queen bed and enjoy the quiet of the country. We are about 15 minutes from downtown Grant's Pass and close to the Applegate vineyards. The cabin is very eco friendly, with an incineration toilet, on demand hot water, tucked into the woods. pets are welcome but please don't sneak them in. I need to be aware they are here and clean up after their stay.

McKenzie Bridge River House near Sahalie Falls

Drive down a long private road, set off of the HWY, to find a riverfront cabin amidst the lush Willamette National Forest. As you wind through the driveway you will find a sanctuary for relaxation, recreation, and comfort. A trail from the back deck will lead you down to the bank of the emerald waters of the McKenzie River. The McKenzie River Trail parallels the property, and is accessed from the private road to the cabin. The property has a campground setting, with river and forest views.

Cottage on River Farm -Applegate Wine Trail

Classic one-room cottage on a 5-acre micro-farm, on the Applegate River near vineyards. This cozy cottage is a mini farm-stay experience with goats & chickens along the Applegate Valley Wine Trail. Walk to Red Lily Vineyards! Enjoy the private firepit (when not in wildfire season) with complimentary s’mores kit or walk down to the river and breath. We are 15 minutes from the historic gold-rush town of Jacksonville, home of the Britt Summer Music Festival. Wine Country Farm Stay dot come.

Agency Lake Front Apartment

Lakefront with beautiful view across Agency Lake to the mountains surrounding Crater Lake! This upstairs apartment has one good sized bedroom, with skylights, a desk area and a flat screen TV. A full kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots and pans, glasses and silverware, plus extras. A hide-a bed sofa is in the living room, with a comfortable reading area. The bathroom has a stand up shower. Loaner kayaks in summer months, sled in winter. 30 minutes to beautiful Crater Lake park boundary.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. While located in the heart of wine country with river views and river access only a few short steps away, it's still just a quick 10-minute jaunt into town. Fishing, agriculture, local activities, and wildlife surround our peaceful hideaway. We fell in love with this place! Come immerse yourself in its natural serenity. The unit is on 12+ acres and attached to the main house. It's been recently remodeled. Seasonal water sports available.

Rae of Sunshine Sanctuary

Come and enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay where you can put your feet up and unwind inside of our beautiful 100 year old quaint cottage, or enjoy the gorgeous private scenery and wildlife surrounding it. Many which include a variety of birds, deer, our residential goats, pig, horses, bunnies, and our seasonal pond with mallards and frogs. (All of our animals are located on the property but are separate from the cottage. Please see host about scheduling any interactions).

We are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.

It's hard to imagine a more pristine oceanfront setting. Two dozen harbor seals congregate and birth their young on the island.
