Chambls Shack provides wanderers with a slow stay, overlooking the sandy beach at Verona Sands. Chambls is a genuine shack experience, complete with 1970’s kitchen, open fireplace and light shades. Plenty of wobbly bits and sloping floors, but we’re watertight, warm and a whole load of fun. Situated 1 hour from Hobart via Huon or Channel, Chambls welcomes travellers who want to truly relax and revisit the 70’s in luxe linens, open fire and a bottle of red. Or bring the kids and hit the beach.

The Bunker - Place of the stars

Rural retreat in Murdunna, the best kept secret on the Forrester Peninsula. A comfortable and charming open planned upcycled tiny home. Experience the feeling of calm when you turn onto the winding private road that takes you to The Hide. Surrounded by forest, and set on the waterfront, the Hide provides an elegant refuge for couples. In a national park like setting and situated centrally, it is the perfect base for exploring popular Bruny Island. With so much to do on the property, as well as wider afield, we recommend a 2-3 night stay if you can fit it into your schedule.

Centrally located in the township of Alonnah on the western side of Bruny Island, The Boathouse is an ideal place to base yourself for everything that Bruny has to offer. Though, giving you the independence to seek some time out.

Beachfront + fire pit + sauna. Set on the sand-dunes of Pirates Bay our beachfront cottage is an original 1970s fishing shack. Rustic and full of character this is a true shack experience. The sound of the roaring waves surrounds you in this amazing nook nestled on the bay.
