Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.

Peace and quiet is what you’ll find, along with a gorgeous view. It’s a great place for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, grilling, fishing, and laying on the hammock. Enjoy the peacefulness from the screened in porch which overlooks the lake after a day of hiking in Acadia National Park. You will hear the call of the loons while relaxing.

Welcome to our family camp where the sun sets over Flanders Pond and eventually disappears behind Shoodic Mountain. Our pond has a sandy bottom and it spans over 550 acres so we like to call it a lake! This house features its own beachfront with three kayaks included! Swim the crystal clear waters! We are about 45 mins depending on traffic to Bar Harbor and Acadia State Park. Winter Harbor/Shoodic Pennisula is about 15 mins away. We are next to a public boat ramp so bring your own boat!
