The Copper Hide - Beautiful and Unique Escape

The Copper Hide is a unique escape at Arth Valley Retreat on the west coast of Wales. This old dairy milking parlour was converted into accommodation some years ago but has recently (2024) benefited from a complete makeover. With a roll top bath, mezzanine bed with large star gazing window and Woodburning stove. During your stay you’ll be free to roam our piece of the valley that flows down to a river with waterfalls. Only a few minutes from the sea. Come and enjoy this romantic spot in nature.

Located between the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains, you will be within touching distance of some of Wales’s most iconic landscapes, including the Celtic rainforest at RSPB Dinas. Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. The accommodation is full of character and original charm, while maintaining the modern comforts of home. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

Y Beudy - Wheelchair & Dog Friendly

Y Beudy is one of our 2 cottages, along with Y Bwthyn, it is a ground level cottage, converted from a stone cowshed with wheelchair access. Open plan lounge with log burner and kitchen/diner, double bedroom, bunk bed bedroom, wet room bathroom & original vaulted ceilings & beams throughout. With a private, enclosed, dog friendly, south facing garden, the views are beautiful. Red Kites circle overhead & the entire property is surrounded by farmland, with 5 acres of our land for you to explore.

Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites. The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food. Freesat T.V and Wifi If you wish to stay connected to the outside world or peace and quiet if not.

Recommended by the Sunday Times (12.09.21), Hen Efail is close to Cors Caron (the largest raised bog in Britain), the Cambrian Mountains and only 30 minutes' drive to the beautiful Ceredigion coastline. Its village location means it is only a short walk to independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Hen Efail has spacious rooms, yet maintains a cozy country feel with exposed beams/stonework and wood burning stove. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with kids, and pets.

Cosy cabin & small garden, 1.5 miles to the beach

Situated on a quiet road in between the sea side town of New Quay and Llanarth, our cabin is close enough to be by the sea in 5 minutes but without the crowds. The Cabin is situated at the end of our drive, with it's own parking area and a small private garden offering a sea view and is the perfect place to watch a beautiful sunset in peace and quiet. Inside, the cabin offers a living space perfect for a couples retreat to get away and unwind.

Stunning shepherd’s hut with hot tub in West Wales

Relax in this combination of rustic and modern shepherds hut. Wake up to an incredible view through a floor to ceiling window at the bottom of your king bed. Enjoy star gazing in the hot tub, or relax on the patio watching the Red Kites. There is miles and miles of walking paths on your door step as well as a cycle track, so don’t forget your bike! And although the hut is set on a working farm, there is plenty of privacy and peace and quiet.

Aberdar Country Cottage and Cinema Cabin

A cottage set in the idyllic Welsh countryside. The open plan kitchen/diner leads through to a seating area with wood burning stove. A separate downstairs lounge contains the original oven/stove and has a large window seat providing beautiful views across the valley. Aberdar is perfect for getting away from it all and provides a great base for walking, bird watching or exploring the picturesque counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion.

The Pod at Gwarcae

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings at this peaceful pod in the Welsh Hills, just over a mile outside Devils Bridge, which is famous for its waterfalls. The Pod is on a quiet country lane with lots of wonderful walks straight out the door. The Pod is cosy and the perfect spot to enjoy the quiet countryside and beautiful dark skies, whilst also having plenty of interesting things to do and see in the local area.
