Stay in a unique cabin built from two shipping containers! Where 'Industrial style' meets 'Country!' Spend a night relaxing at Ormaglade Cabins! Modern, warm & cosy with a relaxed feel. Unwind and enjoy the night sky! Everything you need and nothing you don't! Bring a friend & take a break, chill on the deck, by the fire or take a walk in the countryside along the Clutha Gold Trail. NB: We have a 2nd cabin onsite sleeps 5, good for 2 groups. See photo. We are open to short term winter stays.

Stableburn Cottage: Unique off-grid family bach

Take an eco-friendly break. Small family bach with all the basics for a comfortable, minimalist stay, best suited to 2 adults and up to 4 children or 4 adults. Immerse yourself in rural sights and sounds. Wander down to the river for a paddle, picnic, try your luck fishing or panning for gold. Relax on the deck with a book borrowed from our bookcase & enjoy an evening drink while the light changes over the Old Man Range to the north. Gently fall asleep listening to the mighty Clutha River.

Beach Feet Retreat, Kaka Point, Catlins Coast

Stunning sea side location of this beautiful new spacious beach house will provide a peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy the pristine Catlins Coast. Kaka points safe, lifeguard patrolled beach (summer) is across the road. House is located only 200m from the Point Cafe/store/bar and local play ground. Explore Nugget Pt and enjoy spotting the spectacular sea lions basking on the rocks. Hide away to watch the yellow eyed penguins arrive at Roaring bay. Local bush walks within 1 km.

Quirky crib perched above a picturesque beach with million dollar views. Built in 2019, this two bedroom crib sleeps up to 7 people and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Adjacent to the very popular Jacks Blowhole walking track, there is plenty to keep busy and get the true Catlins experience. Available for use is a kayak, stand up paddle board, outdoor/indoor games, charcoal bbq, beach mat & umbrella. An ideal central base for exploring the catlins coast.

A warm & cosy 3 bedroom house perfect for your Catlins adventures. Sit out on one of the two decks and enjoy a glass of wine taking in the stunning view down the Catlins estuary and out to Owaka heads. Drive times to local attractions: Jacks Bay Blowhole - 10mins Surat beach - 5mins Owaka -3mins Pounawea - 5mins Nuggets Point Lighthouse - 30mins Purakanui falls - 15mins Papatowai Lost Gypsy - 30mins My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.

This family friendly home sits at the end of a quiet cul de sac. Its an easy 2 minute stroll to the beach, playgrounds, restaurant and bar. This kiwi style bach has a sleepout cabin, and will provide hours of fun for all the family. Spacious lounge with a full kitchen is one of the features of this warm comfortable home. Private fully-fenced section, with plenty of off street parking for the cars or boat. Relax on the deck with a drink, listening to sound of the waves.

Honey Cottage in Ettrick

Experience beautiful Ettrick and the wider Central Otago area in this peaceful and private self-contained rustic cottage. Situated around 10 km south of Roxburgh, in the heart of the Teviot Valley famous for its fruit production, 5km from the Clutha cycle trail, surrounded by the epic Central Otago hillscapes. There are endless activities just on it's doorstep including cycling, tramping, fruit picking and all that the famous Central Otago region has to offer.

Sit back and relax as the native bush and birds entertain you while you enjoy listening to the waves and looking out at the nuggets and the lighthouse. This 2 bedroom crib sleeps up to 4 people, is warm and cozy and has everything you need for a family holiday or a weekend getaway. It is fully furnished, and is situated in a nice sunny spot out of the easterly breeze. It is only a few minutes walk to to the Point Cafe & Bar and the local beach.

Catlins Lake Sanctuary

The Catlins Sanctuary is a private and cosy 2 bedroom house. It is modest but comfortable. The property has magnificent lake & estuary views, where wildlife abounds. With 360' views of the lake, estuary & bush, this little piece of paradise is perfect for indoor/ outdoor living all year round. Located off the Southern scenic route 1.5 hours south of Dunedin, this is an excellent base from which to explore the natural wonderland of the Catlins.

Spirit of the Sea is a thoughtfully redesigned and newly renovated seaside cottage with exceptional coastal views from all rooms, a large sunny outdoor deck area, and modern fittings. A short walk to Kaka Point's two beaches and village centre. Spirit of the Sea is a private yet central coastal escape designed as a couples retreat, not ideal for small children as there are a number of hazards such as steep unfenced cliff and a busy road.

Takahopa Bay Retreat is in the heart of the Catlins and offers sweeping panoramic coastal and established native Forest views. The Retreat was established by the Clark family who live on, and farm the surrounding land. The Clark's have been farming the 685 hectare coastal property in the Catlins for the last 25 years.
