Miners Cottage on Barkly

Step back in time and discover how miners lived in Ararat during the late 1890s. This beautifully preserved miner’s cottage offers a unique dual experience, blending heritage charm with contemporary convenience. The front section of the cottage features two comfortable modern bedrooms with modern furnishing. The rear bedroom has been carefully set up to replicate true mining-era living, offering a raw immersive historical stay. The rear bedroom stay is not recommended for the faint-hearted.

Hillrise Cottage is a peaceful and picturesque property on a hill above the gum trees with spectacular views of the Grampians to the west. 15 km from Ararat and 30 km from Halls Gap, Hillrise Cottage is a great base for exploring the beautiful Grampians region, (30mins away), taking in the local wineries or just relaxing. Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Short drive to Grampians National Park, award winning local wineries, hiking tracks and scenic lakes.

Mount Cole Cottages - Kookaburra Cottage

Kookaburra Cottage - Two bedroom eco cottage (built 2017) situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. EV Car charger. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

Rhymney Skye Farmstay !stay 3 & PAY 2!

Situated in the heart of the Grampians our farmstay is the absolute dream getaway if you are after some R&R, to decompress from the daily grind or a simple getaway alone...Rhymney Skye Farmstay is completely off the grid on our working heavy horse, sheep, cattle and chicken farm. Powered by solar but with the added benefits of gas hot water/cooking and heated by a wood fire. The cabin is in the paddock directly behind our house paddock (approx 1km) and we are always on hand if you need us.

Handcrafted Shack, Halls Gap, Grampians (Gariwerd)

Wander through the trees to our handcrafted Shack, lovingly built from recycled materials, with breathtaking panoramic views over our regenerative farm to the mountains beyond. Inside snuggle by the wood heater, outside relax on a hand hewn red gum deck with built-in bath, outdoor shower. The outhouse provides views across the wetlands and its wildlife! Gariwerd walks are a 10 minute stroll away, as is good coffee, the local brewery and the eateries of Halls Gap. Come and connect!

101 Love Shack

Our rustic 1903 mud-brick studio is made from river sand and mud sourced from the local Great Western area. The studio was built as a fruit kitchen by the Patching family who owned and operated a number of orchards along Concongella Creek and Salt Creek. The fruit kitchen has been recently renovated into a 1-bed studio which offers history and modern comforts. The cottage is surround by farm land meaning there is an abundance of animals to watch and enjoy, including Kangaroos.

Myrtle Cottage

Recently refurbished 1900s Miners Cottage! Conveniently located on a main thoroughfare through Ararat. Explore a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops etc. just a short approximatley 15 minute walk. The Grampians National Park is approximately a 45-minute drive away & wine region only about 15 minutes by car. You'll have access to the entire home, except third bedroom. Off-street & on-street parking available. Please note, some cosmetic work is still underway on the exterior.
