Cosy Log Cabin in Aith, Shetland

Relax and recharge with the family in the peaceful and picturesque village of Aith. This is our family holiday home, close to our family in the quiet and friendly village of Aith, Shetland. It is a great location as the village has a shop, Leisure Centre, Harbour and Marina, play park and is a 5 minute walk to the fantastic ‘Michael’s Wood’. This award winning woodland and trail was planted by family in memory of our cousin and so is a really special place for us which we hope you will enjoy.

Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Bothy Be Wast

Really get away from it all in this unique secluded bothy tucked away on the west coast of the Whiteness peninsula on the shore of the beautiful Stromness Voe. Take a 5-10min stroll over the hill and down to the bothy nestled among reeds on the shore to feel a thousand miles from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sleeps up to 4 persons with power supplied via 240V battery power pack. Drinking water will be supplied and shower/sink supply will be topped up as required.

Set in the heart of Scalloway it is close to castle, museum, swimming pool, shops, chemist and bus stop. There ia a Chinese takeaway and award winning resturant closeby. This cosy property has a stove and peats are provided. There is a kitchen equipped with cooking facilities and washing machine. This property has its own private access and parking.

Situated in Scalloway, the historical capital of Shetland in a family friendly street. Within a 10-15 minute walk you can reach the amenities in Scalloway: Historic Scalloway Castle, Museum, pubs, cafe, swimming pool, barbers, hairdressers, beauticians, pharmacy, play parks and grocery shops. The bus stop is at the bottom of the road which is a 2/3 minute walk away. This has great bus routes including a 10/15 minute bus journey to the main town, Lerwick.

Two bedroom cottage in central Lerwick

Comfortable two bedroom cottage, situated in the centre of Lerwick. The cottage has recently been refurbished, and is decorated with a modern feel. Located on King Harald Street, the cottage is within walking distance of Lerwick town centre, near various cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Please be aware that there are two sets of steps to get up to the cottage (27 in total), so it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, or prams/buggies.

Reclaimed ‘oot hoose’ located in Burra- a small fishing village on the west side, only 15 min drive from Lerwick. Burra is a lovely part of Shetland, & home to some of its most beautiful beaches and coastal views. The shop is a 2 minute walk away, where you can book a tour with ‘Shetland Sea Adventures’ fishing trips & tours of the outer islands. Air b&b is next to a bus stop with connecting services to Lerwick & other parts.

The main shopping street is only 1.6 mile from the property or the bus stop is only 250meters down the road from the property. There are beautiful beaches, many cafes & eateries, entertainments, museums and circular walks in Lerwick. Great central base for day trips into the countryside too.

The Chalet- Viewcliff

The Chalet is located in the quiet backstreets of Scalloway. Shops, restaurants and other amenities are only a short walk away. The Chalet itself is fitted out to a modern standard and is warm and cosy. The accommodation space is a bedsit format, with separate kitchenette and shower room. There is a double bed, and tucked away there is also a single bed if required.
