The Tackhouse

This is a cozy and warm cottage with a gentle contemporary feel to it. It has two en suite bedrooms located upstairs, one of which serves as a family bedroom. Both bedrooms have king size beds which can be turned into single beds ( let us know prior to your booking if you prefer a twin room). Part of a Steading (barn) sympathetically converted in 2006, overlooking woods and fields from its own enclosed garden. The cottage is ideaI for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. One hour by car from Edinburgh, 35 mins from Lindisfarne and 45 mins from Bamburgh. If you'd like to leave the car at home and cycle to us it is 13 miles from the station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Tucked away down a small lane, you can walk or cycle from the door or simply sit and watch the wildlife.

The Black Triangle Cabin is a peaceful getaway situated on our property just outside of Jedburgh, a historic town in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The Cabin sleeps 2 people in a king size bed, with a separate living/kitchen space boasting views through the woods and across the fields. If you keep an eye out, you may see the deer that pass through regularly, or even hear our resident owl. Ideally located only an hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle and the St Abbs coastline.

We're a 20 minute drive from the coast which has stunning cliff top walks and beautiful little bays and fishing villages. This is an ideal location to explore East Berwickshire, with Coldingham Bay and beautiful St. Abbs nearby. Edinburgh is one hour away, famous for its Castle and festivals.

We are within half an hour's drive from the beach and railway stations. You’ll love Stichill Stables because of the views and the peaceful location. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers who have their car. We can also accommodate a child / third person if required. We are in a fairly rural location, the nearest shops, bars and restaurants being approximately four miles away in the town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders.
