About 13 miles from Palmyra and Monroe, nearest gas and groceries.

Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. This home is a fully restored 1 story Federal house, which you will have full access to. It is located close to the Mark Twain Boyhood Home, and right off Broadway. The house comes furnished with seating, furniture, and 2 Roku televisions. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, a dining room, living room, and a kitchen. The home has central air conditioning and heating, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a beautiful clawfoot cast-iron tub with shower. There is off street parking.

Molly’s Riverview Retreat

Wake up and take your coffee out to relax on the same veranda that Molly Brown (the “Unsinkable”) enjoyed when visiting her sister while watching the mighty Mississippi roll by. Built in 1844 by the first Judge in the territory, , Molly was headed to this house when the Titanic sank. Enjoy the original hardwood floors in the dining room, marked by embers of fires used to cook countless family meals under the hearth. Walk to all the downtown attractions, nightlife and festivals.
