The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

It sits at the top of a Brae so commands beautiful views of the Sea of the Hebrides with Skye Eigg and Muck Complete Privacy no one behind or main road at your door . It’s fenced off so peace of mind for dogs or children .Its very private . We have everything in it to make it a fantastic home for holidays with Internet included . What more could you want 😊 Saturday to Saturday is preferred but we can sometimes be more flexible .

Taigh Flòraidh “Flora’s house”

This unique place has a style all its own. Newly renovated to a very high standard, this chalet offers high end accommodation in one of the most picturesque villages, North Glendale on South Uist. It is fifty metres away from the sea to the front of the chalet, 50 metres away from a fresh water fishing loch where you can catch brown trout for your dinner. The wild life is abundant, golden eagles, sea eagles, hen harriers and many more wild birds can be see from your doorstep.

Cottage in Vatersay village

Our cottage is on the island of Vatersay which is joined to Barra by a causeway. We have three beautiful beaches within a 5 to 10 minute walking distance - Vatersay Beach which is great for swimming, the West Beach which has wonderful sunsets, and the South Beach which has views out across the southern uninhabited islands. There are great walks from the house, including one to the abandoned village of Eorisdale. The cottage is newly renovated and provides comfy living space.

Caravan On The Croft

2 bedroom caravan with gas central heating. Master bedroom has a Double size bed an en suite and plenty storage. Second bedroom consists of 2 single beds and storage. Main bathroom has a fully closed walk in shower. The Kitchen/living area is open plan with a large fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, kettle & toaster. The living area has a 32" smart tv with freeview, electric fire and 2 recliner sofas. The living room opens out on to a patio area via double patio doors.

51 Kentangaval over looks the stunning Bagh Beag (small bay). It is very close to Castlebay, the local shops and the ferry port. It has wheelchair access to the rear of the property and also benefits from a wet room /shower with hand rails in the shower and next to the toilet. The chalet is set in a stunning location, nestled snugly amongst the hills of Locheynort on the shoreline of a breath-takingly beautiful bay.
