We live just a few doors away from the flat so if you need anything during your stay, just let us know. Stockbridge truly is a village in the heart of the city, with everything Edinburgh has to offer right on the doorstep. Edinburgh is best explored on foot so bring comfy shoes and be prepared for some hills ! Taxis and buses are however plentiful with a bus stop right outside the flat taking you to Leith where you can visit the Royal Yacht Britannia. The heart of the city is a comfortable 20 minutes walk from the flat and to the North, Edinburgh’s stunning botanic gardens are only 15 minutes by foot. Parking outside the Flat is free on single yellow lines after 5.30pm and there are no parking restrictions at weekends from 5.30pm on Friday until 8.30am on Sunday morning. Metered parking is available in the neighbouring street. Meters operate from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Stockbridge is right on your doorstep and on Raeburn Place you will find an abundance of cafes, restaurants, bars and food convenience stores. You can walk into the heart of Edinburgh ( Princes St and the castle ) in 20minutes from the Flat. Edinburgh’s botanical gardens are also just a 15 minute walk away.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". It has a bedroom with a double bed and memory foam mattress , WIFI and a separate shower room. We are a short walk from Princes Street,the Old Town,the Botanic Gardens and Stockbridge with its restaurants and thrift shops and Broughton with its trendy bars and shops. My lovely bright two bedroom Georgian apartment, is the perfect place to stay in central Edinburgh. Based right in the middle of Stockbridge, off the Main Street, down a quiet 18th Century terrace. It’s ideal to explore the city and then come home to relax and have a good quiet sleep. All of the rooms have original wooden shutters that can block out any light. The apartment is very calm and serene …even with the abundance of cafes, restaurants and bars within a walking distance.
