Mill Cottage: Captivating Riverside 1 Bed Cottage

This beautiful cottage is situated in an idyllic location; listen to the gurgling river as you sit on the decking or drift off to sleep. One minute's walk away over a Victorian swing bridge is an enchanting pebble beach. Here you may see seals, dolphins, salmon, and plenty of seabirds depending on the season. Ideally placed for the North Coast 500, this modernised cottage is warm and cosy with central heating and hot water provided by a biomass boiler, and a wood burning stove for cooler nights.

This fully furnished one bedroom, first floor flat is beautifully situated overlooking Wick Harbour and has views out to Wick Bay and beyond. It is within walking distance of all local amenities including shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The award winning Wick Heritage Museum and the famous Old Pulteney Distillery are within a short stroll. There are also beautiful coastal and river walks within the area where you may be able to catch sight of whales, dolphins, puffins and many other animals.

Torran Cottage - Views, Exclusivity & Tranquility

Torran Cottage is nestled within a UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Flow Country! Whilst superbly modernised throughout, the cottage retains its original features, including wonderful flagstone flooring, deep-silled windows set into thick stone walls, and a large wood burner for cosy evenings. The views from the hot tub and gardens are unbelievable. Panoramic vistas look east to Morven and the Scarabens, south to Ben Klibreck and west to distant views of Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.

On the shore at Shormary Cottage

Shormary Cottage enjoys a wonderful coastal location, enjoying spectacular views towards Dunnet Head, the Pentland Firth and Orkney Isles . Direct access to the shore is offered where you can explore rock pools, build sand castles or gather shells on the beach below. Why not pick up the binoculars to watch the wildlife? Is that a seal, a dolphin or even a whale? As for the birds (too numerous to list here!) the favourites are herons, buzzards and puffins. HI-00301-F

No.1 Shiro, Juniper bank

My chalets are on land surrounded by trees, wild flowers, and wildlife. A 5min walk into the town centre and under 15min walk to the beach. The train station is also only 5mins away. If you are driving then this is the perfect spot for Dunnet head, the most northerly point of the UK, puffin cove, a beautiful isolated spot to sit by the sea and watch the birds, the historic town of wick, and of course Jon o groats. Thurso is on the NC500.

Sea Breeze Apartment Wick NC 500 Route

Sea Breeze Apartment is right next to Wick Harbour and Marina. Built in the 18th century with a Barometer on the outside wall to advise fishermen of weather changes. Guests have full use of the entire apartment. Gas central heating, electric shower. 1 large bedroom with 1 double and 1 single bed also a double sofa bed in the living room . Fully equipped kitchen with use of washing machine and tumble drier.

Firthview Holiday Cottage, Canisbay, John o'Groats

Firthview is located in a peaceful area from which to base yourself for an active holiday or relaxing retreat. Located just off the NC500 route in was completely refurbished in 2021. It sleeps 4 people and is available to rent all year round. This coastal cottage is part of a traditional croft-based smallholding in Caithness with views of the Pentland Firth, Orkney Islands and surrounding countryside.

In the small hamlet of Brims two miles from the village of Longhope on the island of Hoy, with general store/post office and Health Centre. Easy access to coastal walks bird watching, fishing and ferry terminal. Near to the Longhope Lifeboat Museum and other island attractions.

Just a stones throw from the city centre of Wick, this Northerly cottage sits beautifully off the A99, making it the perfect destination for those taking on the stunning NC500 route. Drumdry has recently completed a HUGE renovation and this historic little cottage has bags to offer family and friends. Sitting adjoined to an old steading building, we love the history that this property holds.
