The defences of the fort are slight, yet no less interesting for that. What happened after it stopped being a real fort, became a little piece of UK film history. Search for Shoreham fort It also has good views of the harbour and coast. You can walk to the end of the harbour arm, weather permitting. It’s at the eastern end of the Shoreham Boardwalk. It is possible to walk to Shoreham footbridge in about 20mins on the boardwalk
