The Walker Inn

The Normandie Club at the Hotel Normandie is an awesome hole in the wall bar—white brick walls, fairly plain, but with serious cocktails. If you walk to the back you’ll see a sign that says “yes.” Knock or hit the bell. Somebody will come open the door and you’re in Walker Inn, a neat little speakeasy. They suggest making reservations two weeks in advance but you can try walking in. At the Walker, the menu changes every six to eight weeks, and you seriously can’t go wrong. At the Normandie, elevated classics slay. I especially like their take on the Old Fashioned—coconut bourbon, apple brandy, spiced demerara, angostura bitters.
