The Palm Groves itself is an amazing place if you want to relax and enjoy nature and see something you will not see anywhere else in Europe. It’s a system of date palm orchards in the city of Elche with 97 different orchards containing about 70,000 date palms. This is a great place to spend some hours and get away from the heat of the city.

This was declared a UNESCO heritage site as an exceptional example of a landscape transferred from Arab culture to the European continent, with a sophisticated system of irrigation.
