Lovely gardens and walks to see. Year round the gardens are noce but spring is a particularly nice time to go. Glow worms are visible at night and a good place to take kids in Winter as it gets dark early.

One of the oldest botanic gardens in New Zealand located at the side of the hill between Thornton and Kelburn near Wellington Central. Garden was established in 1868, visit and enjoy 25 hectares of specialise plant collections, colourful botanical displays and protective forest, and views over Wellington City.
