Our host started promptly and gave us a helpful orientation on what we could expect to see and learn, and what his expectations were on how we should respect the property. We learned about the history of the painted ladies, how they were originally built and how they changed over The decades and centuries of their existence. Our host not only shared the beautiful and unique architectural elements of his home, he also shared interesting, personal anecdotes about himself and his family, and how they tied in with the history of this building.

George, the host and owner of the house, is incredibly knowledgeable, humorous, and delightful. He gives great detail about the house’s architecture, the history of the house and the neighborhood, and the history of his family living in SF and in the house.
Incredibly thankful for him so graciously opening his home and his life up to us.
