We are a Brooklyn and Vermont based couple who are passionate about food, education and travel. Jenny is a public school teacher, and Alex is a professional chef. We have an 8 year old who is a frequent and easy going traveler, and a lanky dog who loves to stretch her legs. Since moving to Vermont we've been slowly renovating two very old, rustic, and beautiful houses. Whenever we get the chance, we explore other parts of the world.

This little cabin was such a lovely getaway! It was cozy without feeling cramped due to how bright and airy the space was. The cute decorating details, artwork and other small and thoughtful touches made the cabin feel extra special and welcoming. Instructions were clear which I always appreciate, Jennifer was communicative about trip details as needed post booking (I didn’t have many questions as the instructions were laid out ahead of time).

The cabin was dog friendly and my little chihuahua mix enjoyed exploring and playing in the backyard. Overall it was a beautiful and peaceful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Newfane, VT. It’s an older cabin with tons of character—not pristine, but clean and in good shape. The hosts were great—super responsive and forgiving when we broke a mug by accident.
The location is perfect, close to Newfane, Brattleboro, and lots of hikes, plus not far from Stowe and Woodstock.
The patio was lovely, and the fenced backyard was perfect for our dog—we felt safe from possible wildlife . We also saw no bugs probably due to the cool October weather. WiFi was fast, which helped since there’s no Verizon cell reception.
The bathroom is small but well stocked with essentials and has good hot water. If you’re okay with typical cabin quirks, it’s a solid place to stay. Definitely recommend!
