Colleen is equal parts historian, ecologist, biologist, and naturalist! She led us on a memorable outing that was fun for our family, which included teenagers and adults. She is impressively knowledgeable about the plants in the area and entertaining!

Colleen was a very knowledgeable guide who gave us history and humour along the walk. I've always loved eating flowers, so I appreciated her show-tell-taste regarding wild and cultivated roses. I suspect it was the season that we did the foraging tour because she didn't have as many plants to show us as I hoped. Perhaps autumn would have been a more fruitful season. The salal berries were a lovely surprise!

My one regret: being from Asia, I was not aware of the gratuity that should be given to the guide. My apologies, Colleen!

We loved our foraging walk through Volunteer Park with Colleen! The park is very familiar to us as Seattle residents, but we discovered so much that we've never paid attention to previously. Colleen gave us a wonderful overview of the edibles available and common to Seattle neighborhoods, as well as a good portion of Seattle history that put things into context. She is funny, entertaining, and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend this unique experience! Thanks so much, Colleen.
