I was really looking forward to the Streets of Sin tour after reading all the hype, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The biggest issue was the size of the group — there were so many participants that it felt more like being in a crowd than on a guided experience. It was difficult to hear the guide at times, and the large number of people made it hard to feel that sense of mystery or atmosphere that a tour like this really depends on.
Our guide was clearly knowledgeable about the basic script, but the delivery felt a bit too rehearsed. When guests asked follow-up questions, the responses were vague or redirected back to the main script, which made the whole thing feel impersonal and a bit flat.
New Orleans has such rich, dark, and fascinating history, and I was hoping for a more engaging, conversational experience that brought the city’s secrets to life. Instead, it felt more like following a group with little chance to interact or dig deeper.
