Oleg's flat is in the Old Town and is great as a base for exploring Nice and the whole Cote d'Azur (the public transport Ligne system is fantastic and a model for other regions to adopt). It overlooks a beautiful square which has a church and restaurants, so it can be busy until around 11 p.m., but this is the South of France, so one should expect that. It all felt very safe and secure. The flati s not huge but is perfectly adequate for 1-2 guests, and the shower is modern, clean and has good water pressure. I'm not sure how old the building is - C18th?, C19th? - so there is no lift and the stone staircase can be a bit steep, but the atmosphere is good and there was no noise from the neighbours. I am grateful to Romeo for meeting me with the keys, despite it being later than we had arranged. All in all, a good stay.
