Judy was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely warm in making both my dad and I feel welcome into her world of Vancouver Chinatown. We learnt so much about the place in our 2.5 hours walking tour with Judy and we even met some amazing community members. It was really an extremely priceless experience and made us feel so connected with the place, its people and their heritage and culture. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us!

What a delight to experience Chinatown and the dipping class with such a passionate and experienced instructor.

Judy has a wealth of insight into the history of the area and other Chinatowns around the world, and a solid connection with the people of the community.

The dumpling portion of the class went super smooth, and was completely delicious. The private setting in the closed coffee shop worked extremely well.

If you’re looking for a great adventure/foodie experience, we’d highly recommend.

Note: in other reviews, people have mentioned there is a homeless population in the area of Chinatown.
I considered this when booking the experience, but decided Judy would not host the event here if it was a concern.

It was never a concern. Yes, there are people in some spots as we walked with Judy on a tour past historic markets, buildings, and a number of Michelin star restaurants in the district. No one was aggressive or ever got in our way.

Probably one of the best experiences on airbnb. We highly recommend! Judy was very accommodating, a super fun and knowledgeable host who is also an amazing chef. You will learn so much about Chinatowns history and all the Chinatowns from all around the word.

Thank you again Judy for doing what you do and trying to keep Chinese heritage and history preserved in Vancouver
