Cozy, convenient, completely outfitted, the Kern River House was exactly what we were looking for in a fall riverside retreat. The house is extremely well appointed and clearly loved by the owners. Not sure what we loved most: fireside morning coffee, wine out on the private deck, fly fishing mere steps away, or the semi-private beach on the river. We will happily return for a spring visit next time!

beautiful home, serene and calming sounds of the river was so relaxing. private space indoor and outdoors... the patio is something special. most local restaurants coffee shops etc are within a mile. central to everything in every direction, took a quick trip to bishop one day to road trip and hike thru fall foliage peak season. carol was super responsive within minutes to replace a small kitchen appliance, rod happened to drive by one evening when I was outside walking my dog. super friendly and approachable folks, very accommodating & hospitable in every way. would definitely stay again sometime in the future.
