I was lucky enough to spend a beautiful morning with Lucinda and her wonderful horses all on our own (there weren’t any other guests booked to attend the experience that day). It was the most heartwarming experiences I’ve ever done, and I commend Lucinda for taking such great care of the horses she is currently nurturing back to holistic health.
We started by meeting some of Lucinda’s beloved angels named Troy, Tara, Shesi, Aslan, Apollo, River and Sophie, and Lucinda shared with me their unique and inspiring stories.
Lucinda led a beautiful meditation where I was fortunate enough to connect to Aslan (who reminded me of my late husky/malamute - they have the same spirit!) who I even got to feed! Lucinda then invited me to take Apollo, a 19-year old horse who is currently recovering from an ankle injury, for a walk to the creek (he is recommended to walk in order to ensure his recovery). Apollo played around in the water and Lucinda and I got to witness Apollo’s majestic run up the hill - it was an incredible sight!

Although I haven’t had many interactions with horses, there was a significant difference in Lucinda’s horses - they had a lightness about them, a comforting sense of spirit and a joyful energy all around. You could tell Lucinda spends a lot of time with the horses and ensures they are respected, cared for and included. Even though some of the horses have a bit of a sad history, where they are now - (in Lucinda’s selfless care) is exactly where they should be - as close to their natural habitat as possible.

I cannot recommend this experience enough to those who love animals, have a curiosity about horses, or just want to give back and support a fantastic cause.
I will be sure to be back next time Lucinda and friends!
